now im running MacOS catalina in the MBP mid 2012 and i have an old boot ROM version but when im going to update it says that a i need MacOS 10.9.5 so what can i do?Also the SMC version has the last one updated, so why is this updated but the rom no?
I guess I’m confused here? Boot ROM Version: 233.0.0.0.0 is the correct one for your system. It offers the needed update for APFS boot up. I have a 2012 15” and my SMC Version is: 2.1f175 As far as SMC and NVRAM resets: I rarely need to do either. So unless you can expand on what you are encountering I suspect you are not addressing the real issue here.
