I can’t record voice memo or audio in any app. Microphone is enable. Facetime call always failes. When answering calls i cant hear them and they cant hear me. Tried speaker phone during calls. Still not working. Is my microphone damaged?
The iPhone 7 series has a signature fault we call Audio IC disease it is caused by the phone flexing too many times and causing damage to a trace under the Audio IC. If Siri cannot hear you and voice memos are greyed out your phone more than likely has this problem. It is repairable but the repair needs to be done by a reputable repairer that offers microsoldering. However if the voice memo app is not greyed out and Siri can hear you it would point to a faulty lightning connector assembly that can easily be replaced by installing a knew one.
