Changing my battery didn’t solve my problem. I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2017. I installed the new battery but I still get the warning that the battery is not charging. This is the same problem I had before installing the new battery. Any ideas what my next step should be? This entire problem started with tea spilling on my keyboard. Thanks for any tips on what I can do/order next.
I think the motherboard might be damaged. Best case, a connection is shorted out which cause the battery charging circuit to not work. You will need to replace motherboard and/or clean the board of water damage. The first option is very expensive and the second option is extremely difficult. You can start by rubbing alcohol swabs on areas that might have came in contact with the tea.
