I have not used the printer for about two months. I wanted to scan documents but the printer will not even start normally as the initial movement of the ink pots did not happen and I received a notice that the printer is not able to communicate with the computer.
Windows comes with a fax and scan program which seems to work even if the one that came with the printer doesn’t. I assume you have already checked the plug(s) [ if wireless you have a different answer] and rebooted the computer to be sure it knows the printer? have you checked your devices and printer to make sure your HP is still checked ? If all that is good use your HP disc to reinstall the printer. If you don’t have the disc try the HP Printer downloads for your model. try to give more info next time on what you already did, device model # and type.
