Chosen Solution

Hi there, I was trying to replace the upper case of my Mac Pro (late 2017) following some youtube tutorial. Unfortunately, when I arrived to the point of taking the battery off, I used the back of a tweezer that damaged the black film of the batteries. I am not sure if I could put them back and use them or not. ifix does not allow shipping batteries outside of the US these days. Is it dangerous to install them again? Any advice?

Thanks

Just like an egg you can’t put the shell back on after you broke it ;-{ The battery is a lost cause, I’m surprised you didn’t get a face full of smoke and a bit of fire! You have to follow the iFixit instructions MacBook Pro 13" Function Keys 2017 Battery Replacement breaking the battery envelope like you did is very dangerous! Where are you located? Country and nearest major city, maybe we can aim you to someone who can help you.
