The mic doesn’t work at all and I cant plug in my earbuds now bc of how it bent - the port is misshapen now. Is this repairable, or is it off to the apple store for me?
you can get decent quality housing for around 90$CAD, however, depending what you get pre installed on the frame, the repair can be time consuming, and tedious. (Try to find them with buttons and screen anchors pre installed) otherwise youre looking at a 50 minute repair for an average level technician. ive done the repair my self quite frequently while refurbishing phones. KEEP IN MIND: The microphone may not be working because of physical trauma to the flex it is connected to, and may need replacing.
