@oldturkey03 Yes. Its model UN48JS8500F. Yes the same make and model. I get the same 6 blinks once I plug in the power cable. I notice that when it finishes blinking I hear one clicking sound. When I press the power button and give it a few seconds and move the power button/menu toggle it makes the same clicking sounds. I am going to take the back panel apart to see. Where did you but the parts for this model? Ebay? Update (11/17/2019) So I opened it and when I disconnect what I think is the T con board the back lighting shows up. I also disconnected, what I think is the main board (the Ethernet and I/O ports), with the T-con connected and no back light turns on. Again not sure if its that since I am new to repairs but that shows some promise to me to be able to repair this successfully.
Check images loaded in this post of pictures take. The board with the 12 cable is what I disconnected and the back light powers on.
@jontorres first off I stay away from parts from Ebay. Yes, sometimes they work etc. but it’s a bit of a hit and miss. I prefer places like Shopjimmy etc. I am of course not on their payroll nor do I benefit from this. So, no Spam intended or implied. You will definitely have to take it apart and take a look at the board for obvious damage. Get a multimeter and measure the output from the power board. You can also disconnect the mainboard from the power board and power your TV on. This should turn on the backlight. If so your power board is okay and your LED backlight array (common problem of this series) which would most likely be a bad main board or T-con board (lesser possibility). Let us know what you get. Samsung does not use (or at least not publicly ) any error codes. So the 6 blinks is somewhat irrelevant at this time. Commonly 6 blink error is a backlight issue, bad main board, or power board or inverter boards. You will need to check the standby voltage on your power board as well as BL-On which should be around 3V to 5V. Post some good pictures of your boards, board layout in your chassis and interconnect wiring so that we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question Update (11/17/2019) @infotechyeti just so that we are all on the same page. Here is the image with the Samsung nomenclature of the boards :-)
Yes, I am certain that you can fix this (for as long as it is not the panel and those chances are very slim :>)
