Do you think i should try to fix it.i dont know who owned it.or if i could even get into it.

Try plugging it to a charger than if it actually chargers or turns on use a HDMI cable to view the tablet on screen and than connect a mouse to USB port and if you have the keyboard with touchpad that connects with USB would be better and now you can use the thrive for now to test
