I have a 1980-1990 Ezgo marathon electric no power I just replaced two batteries and cables the other four batteries hold charge my charger works I think a sometime the previous owner submerged it in water and does not run I’m stuck what should I check?
Brandon Moran that will be a tough one since you are not sure of the history here. I suggest that you arm yourself with a multimeter and use something like this wiring diagram to start checking things out. One wire at a time. If you can narrow down the year etc. on your cart we can most likely find you more specific information.
If it was submerged in water you might want to pull apart electric motor and clean rust off armature and check bearings for rust. I have had several of problems where i work. I deal with over 200 carts at a popular golf course in vegas. Good luck
