Looking at the owner’s manual it says something about the fuel relay switch if the security is tampered with how can I fix it.
Hi Jerry! So the 01’ Tahoe has something called Passlock. This is an an extra security measure GM put in their cars that prevents fuel from going into the engine and starting the car. Here’s a PDF of the 01’ Tahoe Manual that talks about this more Chevrolet-2001-Tahoe Usually, reprogramming the Passlock system is my go-to. I have a PDF that shows you how to do this. As an FYI, check page 4 first to see what type of system you have, because that will show you what method to do GM Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) Relearn Procedures Now if the Key Reprogramming didn’t work, use an OBD-II reader to see if there are any error codes that are showing up. Usually they can lead you to what needs to be fixed
