i have a macbook pro mid 2012 and its having issues with the backlights, i took it to a local repair and we checked and confirmed the problem wasn’t with the fuse but something else tho he wasn’t able to fight it out. Im able to tell that the mac is working when i light it thru the apple logo from the back.
Sadly, you are located in a country (Uganda) with very limited repair services. Are you able to travel to another country? One which has an independent repair shop which specializes on Macs. Your logic board needs repairs, the other direction is replacing it 2012 15” MacBook Pro logic boards at this point due to Covid-19 parts are hard to come-by for these older systems.
