I have a purple spot on my Samsung television mode UN50HU6900. Samsung online help walked me through the steps (that I already did) and told me they’ll have to make a service call. Has anyone had a similar experience and how did you fix it?
“purple spots” are typically caused by leds being over stimulated/driven and turning to a blue light. when it comes through the screens, they look purple. to solve this, the led strips can be changed out and the backlight setting on your tv can be turned down to the midway point. youcan possibly save yourself from changing the leds if you turn down the backlight setting until its not noticeable. if this doesnt correct it, the led change will be necessary along with the correction to the setting.
