I need to know what screws I do and do not need to undo to get access to the key matrix and clean it. Top keyboard 1-3, and F1-F4 keys, as well as the area around the “P” key, and backspace key have to be held down, or tapped multiple times to get work. Please help! I have 2 small children and lots of sugary drinks.
Hi, It may be easier and possibly cheaper to replace the keyboard (supplier example only) rather than trying to fix or replace the individual keys (supplier example only). In trying to fix it you may create more problems than what you originally had. If you suspect that liquid damage was responsible then perhaps more keys will also fail soon. Here’s a video that shows how to remove the upper case/keyboard assembly that may help if you decide to replace the keyboard
