I have an Element Model # ELFW5017, ID - LE-50gv350-D3. During the lightning storm last night went off. The surge protector is still functional and the cable box came back on. My TV shows the blue light but will not turn on. I unplugged it and held the power button for about 15 seconds or so. Still nothing. Any suggestions??
lcskinner24 unplug it from the wall outlet. Unplug all devices plugged into it from the TV. Then hold the power button dowen for about 30-60 sec. Then plug the TV back in and connect one video source. Preferably not your cable top box but a local source i.e. DVD or BR player Game console etc.) Try to turn you TV on and let us know what you get. If nothing has changed you do want to go ahead and remove the back from your TV and check the power board and the main board. Since this is a bit of an off brand TV you will have to post some good pictures of your boards with your question so we can see what you see. Adding images to an existing question The very first thing is always checking the stby voltage on your power board.main board. Let us know what you get on that.
