Retina MacBook 13" suddenly has no video; apple lights up, so the backlight is working, but screen is black. Plugging in external monitor via DisplayPort shows “No Signal” on the external monitor. Am able to ssh from another computer, but “system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType |grep Resolution” doesn’t do anything (works fine on other computer) Is there a video card that could have gotten dislodged somehow? Any other ideas what it might be and how to fix it?

Flash BIOS on new chip, and make sure it has a clean ME region or it will work like junk.

The video card is soldered onto the board on the MBP Retina. It can’t become dislodged, but it can break. I have a user with this issue on a Mid 2014 15" which is why I’m here. He can get video on an external monitor. Apple will repair for a flat rate mail in, don’t let them charge you full price for the part - only do a depot repair.
