I have to maintain my 2008 Ford edge so why aren’t there any repair guides?

Bell , There are no repair guides on the 2008 Ford edge in the ifixit guide section but repair manuals are available by doing a search and order online or through your local autoparts store. @jodinson because nobody has taken the time to author any guides. iFixit is a forum where anyone can create a guide to help others out. This is strictly based on a volunteer basis, nothing here is commercialized. So, next time you repair anything or maintain anything, why not create a guide for iFixit on that subject. Use these steps to create guides. Otherwise, just follow the links provide in the other answer.
