Chosen Solution
I purchased the screen and battery replacement kits and went through the process of replacing both components on my Pixel 3 XL. I had no trouble through the repair but after reconstructing the phone it shows no signs of turning on, charging, etc. I followed both tutorials to the letter and I’m not sure what could be causing a complete lack of function. I’ve gone back through to double check every connector twice now and I’ve got no screws or anything left over. I have also tried with the old battery and there has been no change. The phone worked fine before, just a cracked screen.
Issue was some component near the display connector got knocked off. No schematics so replacing the component wasn’t possible.
Bought a 3 XL with a busted screen for next to nothing on ebay and swapped the motherboards. All is fixed now.
