Chosen Solution
I replaced the batteries in both my phone and my wife’s. When replacing mine I undid all the screen connectors as per the instructions and now having gotten things back together my ear speaker and front facing camera don’t work. On my wife’s phone I decided to do the battery change without fully unhooking the screen and things are working perfectly. My phone is functioning perfectly except for the front camera and ear piece. I’ve already taken it apart again to make sure the connectors were pushed in properly and they seem to be.
Inspect the ribbon cable for the camera, it may have been accidentally torn. Up to step 24 of this guide: iPhone 6s Plus FaceTime Camera and Sensor Assembly Replacement Image of where the cable gets torn usually:
