Chosen Solution
After following the instructions and installing the new screen and digitizer, the iPhone freezes with lines that fade up after about a minute (after I log in). It seems like the battery is over energizing it? Help.
I would try another screen (if you have one). just sounds like a little to much/little solder on the screen (not plug) side of the connection. Trying this first will likely save you a lot of wasted time on software troubleshooting.
