i ripped this little sticky bit over the battery thinking it was the adhesive but it wasn’t.. what is it?
I did that with an iPhone 5s. So far I have been fine, but I have not used it. Be very careful with lithium-ion batteries, they can set fire or even explode if they are defaced in any way. Monitor you phone very carefully and check there are no signs of unusual heat or charging problems. Use it quite a bit. If all good, up you may be ok. I don’t want to give any misleading information, as these can be really dangerous, so it is preferable to change the battery. Hope all is good.
