So I spilled soda on the keyboard. The laptop was on and charging. When the soda kept spilling in my keyboard the laptop flicked off. When I gave it a while to dry about 3 hours, the laptop was back to normal…except all of the keyboards did not work except for the power button and the battery kept showing a orange led. The laptop cannot identify the battery on the laptop. Maybe is dead?
It’s possible that the battery connectors aren’t clean and that’s why the battery isn’t recognized. Give those connectors a good clean and try again. Your keyboard is likely dead because of the spill. I suggest replacing it. https://www.battery-adapter.com/product_… Update (11/17/2018) Sounds like we have a much bigger issue going on here. I suspect motherboard damage, however I think the motherboard may be long gone already. Let’s completely rule out a software problem by doing a clean install of Windows. Try a fresh copy of Windows on your system and tell me if you still have the battery problem. Use an external wired keyboard to set the computer up as your internal keyboard is gone. If it ends up being a software problem causing your battery not to show up then I will give you advice on what to do for your keyboard.
