I bought a powered subwoofer at a thrift store and I tried to plug my phone into it. The sound was all distorted so I unplugged it. Now whenever I plug headphones into my phone the sound is very distorted. There is also a slight burning smell coming from the headphone jack on my phone. Will replacing the lightning/headphone jack unit in my phone fix my issue, or is it possible that something on my logic board has fried?

Doesn’t hurt to try as the phone part is cheap. It will most likely fix it. Link on where to buy the phone part: iPhone 5s Lightning Connector and Headphone Jack Repair guide for lightning connector: iPhone 5s Lightning Connector Replacement
