Hello, I was in a chat party with another person who was “booting” people offline. I thought it was kind of funny and interesting but then he stsrted booting everybody. He booted me about an hour ago and I dont know what to do. I am still a child and it is not my own internet. We have a motorola modem and I really need help. Somebody please help me.
Hi, Depends if your IP address is static or dynamic. If it is dynamic, the only thing you would need to do is turn off your router, unplug it etc. Wait a few minutes, and then turn it back on, this would change the IP address. If it is static, you will have to contact your ISP (internet service provider) and get them to make your IP address dynamic if possible. I would also report the user for using a DOS attack, this can get their account banned.
