Replaced icemaker inlet valve, now it’s not making ice We thought we had a leaking icemaker inlet valve. We replaced it only to find out that the issue was actually the water line connected to the valve. My husband clipped out the piece of the tube with the leak and reconnected. We tested and adequate water is going through. The water works perfectly from the door, but it is not making or dispensing ice. We did turn it back on (control panel on the door). Any ideas? Thank you!

Having your exact model number might help us. Icemaker Switch The ice maker switch might be defective. It is also possible that the icemaker switch got turned off by accident. Check the switch to ensure that it is turned on. If the icemaker switch is turned on, but the ice maker still isn’t working, use a multimeter to test the switch for continuity. If the icemaker switch does not have continuity, replace it.

In most cases, its the water valve inside of the refrigerator that sends water to the door and to the ice maker. It usually starts with a leak inside of the refrigerator but once you shut off the water inlet for a while and turn it back on, the leak with stop but the defective water valve will not send water to the ice maker.
