My friend’s laptop was open and around alcohol when another friend spilled vodka on it. The laptop still turns on and seems to be okay, but the keyboard is completely unresponsive. Is it possible to repair this or should we just pitch in for a new one?
Clean the computer properly with high grade isopropyl alcohol (no, Vodka does not qualify) then dry it off. May use an oven at 100deg C for 20 min or so to dry it. Most likely is that you shorted out the keyboard and will have to replace that.
