I got my apple watch 3 as a gift last year. I put in my credit card on apple pay, but have not verified the credit card yet, still needs to be verified. I don’t want to pay $150+ to get it repaired, but I can repair it myself. However , I don’t want to lose apple pay on my apple watch.
I don’t think there is a definitive answer to that, especially if it is not fully set up. As it reads on the guides: “Replacing the display can cause issues with Apple Pay. If possible, to reduce the likelihood of problems, delete all your Apple Pay account info before the replacement, and then re-enter it with the new display installed.” NFC can be replaced from the old screen but you would need to reprogram it…
