My HDMI port broke due to being yanked at by our dog tripping on an ethernet cable that was poorly placed and i was looking at having it fixed and I was wondering if i could get away with just fixing the port.
You can replace just the port if you have some soldering skills, it is something I have done many times myself, but it can be risky as if you try to remove the port before all of the solder is melted, you may cause further damage to the motherboard. If you don’t have much soldering experience I would recommend trying to find a repair shop in your area to handle the job instead.
