Hi all, So I have a dead iMac from 2007 (24 inches) and I’m getting a 20 inch one for free. Of course, the 24 inch screen is nicer, so can I put the 20 inch computer inside the 24 inch case and use the screen from the 24 inch? Thanks in advance
As you can see here the logic boards are very similar! iMac Intel 24" EMC 2134 Logic Board iMac Intel 20" EMC 2210 Logic Board The layout is the same, I’m suspecting its doable. I personally haven’t done it but it would be a fun exercise to try!
First you need to discern why the 24" is not working. Probably the power supply. Take a look at the diagnostic LEDs on the logic board and tell us what you see.
