My iMac 24" 2008 won’t start! When my display goes off the computer turns off and so the diagnostic LED. This also happens when I shut down, and after that the 4 diagnostic LED go off as well, so I assume it’s a PSU issue. Altough I can make it start by doing this:
- Pull out the RAM (This will make my fans run)
- Wait around 30 min, or until the computer gets very warm.
- Hold the power button until it beeps Do you think it’s either PSU issue or Motherboard? Thanks in advance
You have a a bad power power supply with interment failure. Either try to identify the bad caps and replace them or drop in a new power supply. iMac Intel 24" EMC 2134 and 2211 Diagnostic LED’s
