I have a iMac 2013 which the fan stoped working. I sawped with 2 other fans and still not working. Reformat the drive and nothing. If I use it with little power the iMac rise over 200 degrees and shut down itself. I may think it could be the logic board but I’m not convinced that just a fan could damage the entire board without making any other symptom. Any advice? Update (12/08/2017) Hi here is the screen shot.
Update (12/08/2017) Hi, I swapped the original fan with 2 other fans and nothing. I’m using it right now but is insanely slow. This is the Activity Monitor.
Gabriel - I’m a bit perplexed here! TG Pro diagnostics it telling us the fan is wired, but the RPM is not showing up. So I’m suspecting the fan is not turning (jammed). Can you tell us were your system is located, is it within your office or on the shop floor? Wood dust and shavings could be jamming the fan.
Was your problem ever fixed as am having the same issue. Swapped out 2 fans just like you. But nothing. Also when I do a hardware test, I get a fan error.
