I wonder if the IMac 2017 27” that i bought with Harddisk has got the internal connector for M2 pciex
None of the Mac systems offer a M.2 blade drive slot! Apple did their own thing! Apple uses a custom connector for their custom SSD’s. So what I can tell you is your 27” iMac does have this custom connector! But it may not be available to use! If you bought a Fusion Drive you have in fact two drives installed a SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) 3.5” HDD and a small blade SSD held in the custom PCIe slot which is used for caching, hence the two drives together are fused into being seen as one drive within your OS’s file system! But, lets say you only have a HDD in your system then you have a free PCIe blade drive slot! Here’s more details on the Apple SSD’s The Ultimate Guide to Apple’s Proprietary SSDs While not the exact same as your system, the process to put in a new blade SSD is the same as here iMac Intel 27" Retina 5K Display Blade SSD Replacement I’d strongly recommend you stick with an Apple SSD or with either of the two SSD’s that are designed to work in your system (OWC or Transcend). I really don’t recommend force fitting M.2 SSD’s into your system. I’ve got a very full drawer with the remains I’ve had to pull out, as they will fail much sooner.
