Has anyone done a CPU fan replacement (guide) on this model iMac? Update (01/10/2019) Update: a) SMC reset had no effect - so ordered ifixit fan. Fan arrived two days ago. b) before starting MB removal to replace fan - today i plugged in the new one and started up machine - no CPU fan start. c) plugged the new CPU fan into the DVD fan port - and the new fan works. Conclusion: MB is not sending signal or power to start the CPU fan. Help. Does anyone know of this circumstance or what a solution may be? One solution is to run jumper from the DVD wires to the CPU fan wires or abondon cooling DVD in favour of CPU - again with jumper…
