I have a 27" iMac with a bad graphics card. I took it to the Apple Genius bar and they stated that they do not make this graphics card any longer and they wouldn’t touch it. The hard drive is accessible in target mode. I am wondering of a source to buy a replacement card to replace it myself. It is an ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics processor with 256MB of GDDR3 Memory. iMac model is A1312 MB952LL/A. Also, a link to how to replace it would be helpful also. I am handy, but can not seem to find good replacement instructions.

I just today finished working on a 2010 27”. It had a bad GPU and a full hard drive. I installed a new SSHD 1 TB drive and did a hot air work station reflow of the GPU. The machine should give several more years of service. I’ve been doing the reflows of the GPU for about 4 years now and to date have had about a 80% success rate with the reflows. The machine is only about $75 to do it. Your best bet for service on this machine will be an independent Mac repair person. The replacement GPU tend to be high dollar as this was the weak parts on this era models. There is currently one seller of just the card on eBay @ $109. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-iMac-27-2… iMac Intel 27" EMC 2374, AMD Radeon HD 4850 Video Card Removal & Repair
