Hello, I love your guides. I’m about to swap the HDD for SDD. Since a display is off, I wonder if it is easy to clean the bottom edges of the display. They look sort of black smudges, likely caused by dust. I wonder if you could share with your guide on this issue or just point at the right one if already online. Thanks! My best, Andy

Sadly the 2012 model has a sealed display so you can’t open it. All you can do is clean the external part. What you are likely seeing is screen burn-in. I should warn you make sure you use the correct tools and techniques as outlined in the guides. You can easily damage the display assembly if you’re not careful which would be a big Oops! Don’t forget you’ll need the OWC replacement thermal sensor and an adapter frame to hold your 2.5" SSD into the frame where your old 3.5" HD was.
