Imac 27 Late 2015 Cpu Upgrade With I7 6700 Imac Intel 27 Retina 5K Display

I know you can upgrade the late 2015 iMac 27 with the i7-6700K. But I can get a i7-6700 for much cheaper that the i7-6700K. Has anyone tried it? Thanks p.s. I know the iMac is difficult to open. Already did it many times before.
