My iMac won’t boot up: screen is black, fan and optical drive are operating, but no start up chime…help please. Update (06/09/2020) No glow in the display, all dark. Had to get a tech out here this morning: pulled the glass off, peeled back the display, and LEDs 3 and 4 were dark. #3 indicates a faulty video card; when booting up, Macs will follow the same sequence when powering up components, and if it gets to the graphics card and there’s a problem with it, it will not power up fully/boot up the OS. So, I’m upgrading the graphics card and getting a new SSD as well. Should be running better than ever, and I’m glad to not have to replace this machine just yet, this has been a great machine and hope to get a little more mileage out of it. Thanks for the help
