Chosen Solution
I replaced a broken screen on my iPhone 8 plus less than two days ago. Immediately the screen was discolored when I turned it on, and after 24 hours there was a burned in image of the home screen. I’ve replaced the screen on my iPhone 6s at least three times before and I’ve never had a problem like this. I’m wondering if anyone else has ever seen this happen before? Is it faulty hardware or did I possibly do something wrong when I connected the new screen?
I swapped out the screen for a new one (from a different manufacturer) last night. The new screen has no discoloration or image problems. I’m going with the theory that the screen was bad.
