It really doesn’t matter how old or new, but that it [a tablet] is purchasable and repairable also that parts are available. So looking back with what you have worked with, which Make and/or Models of tablets would you suggest to meet the mentioned qualifications ? Please also consider the current times for this advise going forward, too. Isn’t there is a law that anything manufactured has to have parts available for ten (10) years ? I have heard that this is true for Car’s. I look forward to your experienced advise.
IPad 5,6,7 is great for that. Digitizer and LCD are 2 seperate peices which saves alot of money if just the glass breaks. Battery and charge ports are easialy available. Only thing is the port is soldered to the board. Besides that all other parts are also easy to source if needs be. Must samsung Tab A series are usually very easy to open, and does not requirer you to remove the glass to access the internals. Must of those also have easily accessible parts minus a couple of exceptions. I would not reccomends less known brands since parts will be hard to find. I hope this helps.
@airdail71 that is a very subjective question and answers should be taken just like that. Repairability based on personal experiences will differ widely. I suggest that you check the guides for the tablets. IFixit has gone through many of those and added a repairability score to those. 10/10 being the best etc. This only goes for guides made by iFixit not general guides created by users. It’ll be a good starting point. Update (08/23/2021) @airdail71 I knew iFixit had a tablet repairability page somewhere. Check on here https://www.ifixit.com/tablet-repairabil… for the scores
