With no warning (that I could tell) my older NS-LCD22-09 TV stopped working. When I turn on the power, either through the remote or at the TV itself, the power light changes from red to blue for a second or two, then it turns red and blinks about 5 times and then goes back to solid red. The screen and back light never turn on. I have tried using different power cords with no result. I did not check to see if there is any sound. Taking the back off the TV I unplugged the data cable from the control board/main board (a 715T2763-2) to the lcd. Now when I turn the TV on the back light comes on and stays on. Would this indicate it is the control board that is bad? (There are only two main boards, the control board with all the inputs and the power board.) There are no obvious signs that parts on any of the boards are bad. No bulged or leaking capacitors, burnt chips, etc. besides what may be a very slightly bulged 470uF 16v capacitor. Though it most likely is just deep impressions for the relief cuts. I got a new TV and just want to use this one for a Raspberry Pi project. A new control board will run about $25 and I’d like to know if that would be likely to fix it or not. Thanks! ETA: Below are two pictures. One is a random one of the board I found online just using the board number I posted above. The other is a terrible picture of the actual board. Other than 3 caps being a different brand there is no real difference I can tell. I tested the output from the power board and the +5v and +12v lines all supply 5 and 12 volts +-. Pics: File photo:

Further edited: I bought a working replacement for the main board. After plugging in it had the same issue. However I did find something interesting. If I unplug the screen from the main board, turn on the power (the tv works fine, minus there being a picture on the screen) and while it is on plug the screen back into the main board, the screen works fine. But if I then turn the tv off and back on again it goes back to not working, bump
@thegreen since your backlight powers on, I’d replace the main board which is the board with all the inputs. Since we do not have a schematic for your TV check the boards and see if there is a legend by the connectors. Test the main board for power from the power board. Of course you can always post some images of your boards with your question. That way we can see what you see. Use this guide Adding images to an existing question for that.
