Laptop was in sleep mode. Laptop was turned on, using battery. I repositioned the Laptop stand and my laptop turned off and hasn’t turned back on since. I tired plugging it in as thought maybe the battery dried whilst in sleep mode. Charger has power to it as the green light comes on, but the laptop does not turn on. I’ve tried to holding down the power button for 20 seconds etc etc to no avail. Laptop is not even 2 years old yet.
Remember to unplug and disconnect main battery first then press power button to discharge any residual power. Disconnect the CMOS battery to reset system. Here is a video to help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovwaj9-x… You will see it around 40seconds into the video. The CMOS battery is to the left encased in black with red and black wires. Gently slide the white connector out. Reassemble.
