I installed the hardrive into my MacPro Notebook 13 and started my computer and all that shows on the screen is the Apple logo. What do I need to do?
You have to format and install a system on your new hard drive. Please start up from your system installation disk ( hold down the C key after inserting the DVD). Go to the second screen pull down menu to Utilities > Disk Utility. Select your hard drive in the left hand column. Format the drive and then give it one partition. Quit Utilities and continue with the system installation. If you can’t see the drive in utilities let us know.
