Hi all..i need help from software geek please ..i got Samsung 850evo SSD drive and hp elitebook 8460p.,i need to install win7 ULTIMATE in it..the drive was attached with CD that is for cloning the old software i think.. i got exactly the same hp laptop and the same old drive working here(it is for my brother) can i clone exact windows from my brother laptop and copy it in my new SSD drive?? ..that’s it
I suppose that technically you could do that but it’s not really the best solution. For one thing, you’d definitely have to change the windows activation key. Let me ask you, are you planning on upgrading the laptop to Windows 10 after installing the SSD? Also, where is this laptops original HDD?
