I have a Pixel 2 that has a pixelated screen intermittently. The best way to describe it, is that it looks like white static on a TV. Tapping or hitting the phone appears to fix the issue, which may be the result of a loose ribbon or some kind of mechanism that the screen is bad. Is the screen replacement kit the fix for this problem?
I don’t know if you do repairs yourself or not, but if you do I’d try re-seating the connections and inspecting the cables for any tears/damage. More likely than not, considering the screen is fine most of the time, the connection is just loose. Good Luck
