Hi, I have this Macbook Pro for quite some time now and a couple of months ago the keyboard just stopped working completely. I tried everything but it just wouldn’t work. Yesterday my battery on my MacBook pro was completely out of juice so I plugged it in and when it booted up the keyboard fully worked. It worked for around a minute and then it didn’t work again. It only works if the battery is drained. I have reset the SMC, the PRAM and even opened it up and disconnected the battery and connected it again but no luck, it stops working after reaching 2% battery every time. PLEASE HELP! Battery looks good! At this point I would guess your keyboard has a spill at some point and the keyboard will need replacement. Update (10/07/2019) Sorry, the keyboard connection to the logic board is part of the keyboard and not replaceable on its own
