Quick question. Is the internal memory on the logic board? I think I overheated my battery, and before I could back up my data, the tablet fell off the counter and the screen was broken. I was getting a message saying the temperature was to low (below -20 C) when I tried charging, but if I warmed up the tablet on a heating pad, low setting, it would charge. Now I have no screen, am using a USB multimeter and it says it’s taking a charge. 5. 08v, 1.4-1.5 A but when I plug in to PC, the USB connection just cycles on and off. I just want to get the data back. Kinda stuck on where to go next. Thanks in advance.
Hi @nixxon , The storage memory is hard mounted onto the systemboard, so to retrieve any data you would either need to get the tablet working again or have the equipment that can hopefully read the data directly off the nand flash memory chips themselves as long as they’re still OK as well. If the data is really that important to you and you can’t get it working without losing any data e.g. a factory reset or firmware reload, you may have to contact specialist data retrieval companies and hope that they can do this. They’re not cheap.
