Chosen Solution
(A2116) Did a ram upgrade from 8GB to 32GB but now there’s no boot chime or sound coming from both internal speakers. Headphone jack works with sound. I have also tried a older iMac left speaker that was lying around. Tested with the screen off but still no chime. I tried SMC and NVRAM/PRAM resets. Prehaps I wasn’t doing it correctly(?) (I don’t have access to it at the moment.)
What is going on?
I guess you could downgrade back to 8GB RAM and see if that fixes it.
