Hi. I have an INverter board from an Imac 27 mid 2010 EMC2390, the question is if I can replace the inverter on an iMac mid 2011 with this one. It is compatible? At first sight it looks similar. Thank you
Technically its a LED driver board not an inverter. Inverters are used with CCFL backlights. The 2011 iMac came with either a four pin version iMac 27" LED Backlight Board V1 (4-Pin) or an eight pin unit iMac 27" LED Backlight Board V2 (8-Pin). To complicate things a bit both use the same P/N 923-0047. You’ll need to inspect what you have before you order the part. As far as using a 2010 board I wouldn’t.
