Chosen Solution

Strange One. iPad 6 has come in with a busted LCD. I have a new tested and working LCD from a iPad 5 and its just showing static (grey dots etc with no picture visible). I tried a damaged but still working iPad Air LCD with the same issue. I then found a damaged but still working iPad 6 LCD and it worked no problem at all apart from the already known damage as its a test LCD. I tried both LCDS that didn’t work in the iPad 6 in a iPad 5 and the new LCD worked perfectly and the other worked as advertised (Had some damage as it’s a test LCD) Considering iPad Air 1,5 and 6 LCD’s are combatable has any one else come across this or have a solution? Note - I did try a reset with all LCDs plugged into the iPad 6 Thanks

Aa far as I know, iPad 6 LCD is backward compatible with 5 and Air, not vice versa. Replacement screen advertised as cross-compatible for Air/5/6 is essentially an iPad 6th gen LCD, that is why it’s pricier than Air/5 LCD.
