As i was replacing display on Ipad 6th gen , I was trying to remove tape covering “Home Button” connection on logic board, I ripped everything out. I do have a spare home button although it cant be installed on the logic board. Do I need to swap out entire board ? Or can the connector be fixed?
The spare button should work except for touch id. If the connection on the board itself is damaged they you probably need a new board or have someone with board level repair experience fix it.
