I have ipad 6th gen it’s not charging and i know there is 2 possibility Charging port and tristar ic. But i have already measure the voltage on charging port to the board and it says 4.97 volt (nearly 5 volt) is that normal??? Or another problem is tristar ic so, my question is. Is that normal 4.97 volt on ipad charging port? Thanks
What are you using to measure the voltage? A multimeter or a USB amp meter that you plug into the charger? Tristar is a USB validator, not a charging IC. It basically acts like a bouncer at a night club to make sure that the “ID” of whatever is plugged in is safe to use. If the device is powered on and won’t receive a charge, I don’t believe it’s related to TriStar.
